# Z-Crystals

Step into a new level of strategy and power with our custom **Z-Crystal system** in Cobblemon! With the right setup, you can trigger powerful **Z-Moves** — ultra-charged attacks that can shift the tide of battle in a single strike.

### How It Works

To use a Z-Move during battle, you need two essential components:

1. **Z-Ring** – Must be equipped in your **offhand**.
2. **Z-Crystal** – Must be held by your Pokémon as a **held item**.

When both conditions are met and you're in battle, a special **Z-Move button** will appear. Click it, and your Pokémon will unleash a powerful Z-Move on the next turn.

Z-Moves can be based on:

* **Type-based Z-Crystals** (e.g., Firium Z, Electrium Z, etc.)
* **Special Pokémon-specific Z-Crystals** (e.g., Incinium Z, Mimikium Z)

### How to Obtain Z-Ring and Z-Power Ring

Currently, **Z-Rings and Z-Power Rings can only be obtained through the following crafting recipes**.

#### **Z-Ring**

Allows you to use type-based Z-Crystals with any compatible Pokémon.

### Z-Crystals — How to obtain them?

Z-Crystals are **rare and valuable items**. **TEMPORARILY THEY'RE ONLY OBTAINABLE FROM THE IN-GAME SHOP!** Each one lets your Pokémon perform a **one-time Z-Move per battle**, often amplifying regular moves into game-changing finishers.

* **Only one Z-Move** may be used per battle — choose the moment wisely.
* Z-Moves **always hit**, even through defensive moves like Protect (with reduced power).
* They often serve as a **last resort** or a guaranteed knockout when the stakes are high.
