Cobblemon 1.7: A New Era Is Coming

The Cobblemon community is buzzing with excitement, and it promises to change everything. 1. Mounts (Riding) & Cooking mechanics

   • You’ll be able to ride your Pokémon — one of the most requested features by the community. Exploring, traveling, and battling will feel way more immersive.

3. Cosmetic gear & render improvements

• Pokémon can now hold items visibly, and you can turn cosmetic items on/off.

• New cosmetics for many Pokémon species (e.g. Squirtle lines, Dragonite, etc.).

• Option to toggle visibility of hats, faces, and markings in the summary UI.

   • /spectateBattle <player> to watch others’ battles.

   • Multiple in-game settings screens to adjust things from config without editing files.

   • /boxcount <player> <box> <slot> & /pcsearch to search Pokémon in your PC by properties.

2. Pokémon additions & animation/model updates

   • New Pokémon from older gens added (2-9) — more choices to catch & collect.

   • Improved and updated animations for many Pokémon.

   • Model updates for Eevee evolutions, Dragonite, etc.

3. Abilities & lightning interactions

   • Abilities like Lightning Rod, Volt Absorb, Motor Drive now interact with lightning and give buffs, or immunity, etc. Good synergy for weather / storm-related builds.

4. New recipes, items & crops

   • Hearty Grains — a new crop for cooking.

   • New food items: Poke Puffs, Ponigiri, Sinister Tea, etc.

   • Decorative building blocks (Tatami blocks & mats).

5. Visual and rendering tweaks

   • Pokémon mark-ings in summary UI can be toggled.

   • Items held by Pokémon get dynamic light (if using mods/resources that support it).

   • Detail updates: textures of apples, sprite updates, etc.

6. Fixes that improve stability / immersion

   • Many bugs fixed: shoulder Pokémon desyncing, rendering issues, spawn behavior, hitboxes, etc.

   • PC boxes open correctly, Pokédex entries more consistent, etc.
